PINGUICULA LAXIFOLIA
(Plants: Butterworts)
This recently discovered butterwort is known to inhabit only a small area in Tamaulipas, Mexico where, uniquely it hangs from rocks shaded by mountain forest. It was described in 1995 by Hans Luhrs who simultaneously created a new section called Orchidioides in order to help classify the butterwort. Still very rare in cultivation, the plant does well in a mineral-based substrate that drains easily.
